Outline

This session is organized by Inter-University Exchange Project (IUEP) (An international educational partnership between Japanese, British, and American universities to create resilient societies). It aims to broadly understand the current states and issues in Japan and overseas, solve them from global perspectives, and cultivate practical ability and response capacity to overcome conventional stereotypes and prejudices. Finally, speakers report on the activities of the IUEP through discussions and fieldwork with various participants. The speakers, with Graduate students at UCL, SOAS, University of Cambridge, and UW, have flexible conversations about implementing Global Resilience Mindset based on the prominent research achievements in disaster science.
