Outline
In Miyagi Prefecture, the prefecture with the most areas hit by the Great East Japan Earthquake, the younger generation, who were children at the time, is working to pass on the memories and lessons of the disaster in their own ways. This session aims to raise interest in disaster prevention among young people from the same generation and even younger generations through exchanging opinions, and by encouraging participants to "try it out for themselves" by showing various memorial activities people are engaged in, such as painting, passing on local history and culture, working as disaster prevention specialists, and so on.
