We introduce an overview of studies conducted by the Geological Survey of Japan, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), and specifically explain two topics: the project to develop high-precision digital geological information for disaster prevention and mitigation and geological hazards in the Mekong Delta region related to climate change.

Information | The Geological Survey of Japan, AIST, is an organization that conducts national geological surveys and consists of three research units related to geology (Geology and Geoinformation, Earthquake and Volcano Geology, and Geo-Resources and Environments), Renewable Energy Research Center (Geothermal Energy, Shallow Geothermal and Hydrogeology), and Geoinformation Survuce Center. Since its establishment in 1882, we have been contributing to society through geological research for more than 140 years. |
