Aiming to contribute to the reduction of disaster risk worldwide as set out in the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, the City of Sendai is promoting open innovation in the disaster prevention industry through industry-academia-government-finance collaboration through the Sendai BOSAI-TECH Innovation Platform, supporting the development of new products and services, and working to create a BOSAI-TECH innovation ecosystem. In this session, Sendai City officials and BOSAI-TECH platform participating companies will introduce the BOSAI-TECH project and examples of social implementation that have emerged from it.
