Outline
This session will introduce domestic and international responses to recent increases in runoff and prolonged earthquake disasters, focusing on enhancing resilience in the context of climate change. We will discuss various perspectives, including the formulation of plans incorporating both hard infrastructure and soft measures (mitigation and adaptation), the development of effectiveness measurement technologies and analytical methods, public-private partnerships, and environmental and energy considerations. Furthermore, we will propose utilizing these Japanese technologies overseas to contribute to the sustainable development of local communities, addressing challenges and necessary responses such as technology development, dissemination, and education.
