Tohoku University is promoting the “FUKUSHIMA Science Park Concept” in order to expand its social co-creation project to the Hamadori region of Fukushima Prefecture, and as part of this, it is working on initiatives such as “BOSAI human resource development” to disseminate to the world. In order to learn from the lessons of the Great East Japan Earthquake and disaster response, eliminate the “unexpected” and achieve “zero casualties”, we aim to develop human resources that combine existing disaster prevention and mitigation knowledge with cutting-edge “comprehensive knowledge” and can flexibly respond to future social changes.
