Told through the eyes of Grammy-nominated DJ and marine toxicologist Jayda Guy, Blue Carbon is an environmental documentary that blends music and science to highlight the potential of “blue carbon” in the fight against climate change.
Filmed in the USA, Senegal, Vietnam, France, Colombia, and Brazil, the documentary explores how oceans can absorb more carbon than tropical rainforests. This “blue carbon” exists in saltmarshes, seagrass meadows, and mangroves, but time is running out to protect and restore these vital ecosystems before their power is lost.
