Overview

Big Earthquake and Tsunamis give vigorous damages to coastal lives and marine ecosystems. Sustainable monitoring of marine ecosystems and environments and sharing the results with citizens/stakeholders should give effective retention and mitigation from marine disasters. Tohoku Ecosystem-Associated Marine Sciences Project (TEAMS) aims to monitor recovering processes of coastal ecosystems that were disturbed at the time of Great Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunamis. We, TEAMS, plan to transfer our research results and experiences to other countries that are possible to experience Earthquake and Tsunami hazards. In this session, we plan to propose a statement how we can avoid from oceanic hazardous events.
